What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is designed to promote the health and well-being of children by enabling them to perform activities of daily life.
This therapy covers several areas like-fine motor skills, self-help skills, sensory processing, feeding and swallowing, self-regulation, play, socialization, visual motor skills, and more.
All this improves a child’s functional performance and their ability to interact in their everyday environments- like home, school and their various communities.
Why use Occupational Therapy for children?
Many people are surprised to hear that children participate in occupational therapy, because we usually associate the term “occupation” with jobs adults perform. However, there is a broader view of “occupations” that include children’s activities such as playing, learning and socializing with friends. At Anshu we help children develop these necessary skills so their transition into adulthood becomes a path to an independent and rewarding life. Our pediatric occupational therapists provide evaluation, intervention and consultation in the following areas :-
Our Approach
“Anshu’s treatment rooms and innovative equipment is designed to mirror fun activities to a child. Each child is evaluated individually, and a custom treatment plan is made to suit their needs. While the child is enjoying what they perceive as playtime, our qualified therapists are drawing upon extensive training to provide challenging therapeutic activities, specially aimed to developing the child in areas that require help.”
